The objective of the OTHM Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Accountancy is to provide learners with a foundation for a career in a range of organisations in relation to financial management and accountancy. It is designed to ensure that each learner is equipped with knowledge of accountancy, and the skills to adapt rapidly to change and progress with their learning.

Equivalences

OTHM qualifications at RQF Level 3 represent practical knowledge, skills, capabilities and competences that are assessed in academic terms as being equivalent to GCE AS/A Levels.

Qualification structure

The OTHM Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Accountancy consists of 3 mandatory units for a combined total of 60 credits, 600 hours Total Qualification Time (TQT) and 240 Guided Learning Hours (GLH) for the completed qualification.

Entry Requirements

​​

• 16 years or over, 1 ‘A’ level in any subject, GCSE / IGCSE or equivalent.

• Mature students require no exam qualifications

• For International students, equivalent overseas qualifications will be considered along with an IELTS score of 5.0 (with a minimum of 4.5 in each skill), or equivalent.

Successful completion of the OTHM Level 3 Diploma in Accounting and Business provides learners the opportunity for a wide range of academic progressions including the OTHM Level 4 Diploma in Accounting and Business 

​

As this qualification is approved and regulated by Ofqual (Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulation), many universities acknowledge the ability of learners after studying the OTHM Level 3 Diploma in Accounting and Business  and may consider them for direct entry into a range of their Bachelor's degree programmes
